Our Story

Lawrence Adams and his family have been in the cattle and beef business for generations. In 2004, Lawrence discovered the Wagyu breed of cattle by accident when he bought a group of cattle that was for sale. They graded off the chart! He quickly recognized that this breed and the meat it produces are truly unique in their tenderness and flavor. Since then, our family has acquired genetics and developed holistic production practices to raise this natural & high-quality beef. It is hormone and antibiotic-free beef.

LA & Sons Wagyu Beef

It is not just up to LA and Sons to produce this amazing beef. Our relationships matter. We rely on and partner with small family farms here in the Midwest to ensure our prized animals are well cared for and lead a stress-free and comfortable life. They have access to barns for shelter and are fed an all-vegetarian diet. The attention to detail these producers exhibit guarantees the animals will reach their potential to grade and create the amazing marbling that the Wagyu breed has been recognized the world over for. We also work with small meat lockers and butchers with old-world craftsmanship to harvest the animals and deliver the hand-selected quality of meat our customers have come to expect. We are committed to producing the most delicious beef your family will enjoy. Discover the difference!

The Benefits

Wagyu beef has an abundant amount of marbling that leads us to its superior taste, tenderness and juiciness, but is all of this marbling healthy? As a matter of fact, if consumed as part of a well-balanced healthy diet, it is. Research shows that the beef from long-fed Wagyu cattle naturally contain more omega 3 & 6 fatty acids, as well as more monounsaturated fatty acids (the good fat) than other beef. The percentage of fatty acids affect the texture and feel of food in the mouth, particularly in meats. This is one of the genetic benefits of the breed and one of the reasons Wagyu beef is regarded as the finest, most exclusive beef produced in the world.

According to research, the protein in Wagyu beef can help you maintain muscle while burning fat, a healthy weight and healthy blood sugar levels. Additionally Wagyu beef helps maintain cell membranes, increases your oxygen intake and energy production as well as metabolic rate. It also increases the body’s production of good prostaglandins – an unsaturated fatty acid that controls smooth muscle contraction, blood pressure, inflammation and ideal body temperature. The increased Omegas 3 and 6, help transport and metabolize triglycerides and cholesterol. Studies have shown that a higher monounsaturated fatty acid in the diet is associated with lower cardio vascular disease.

Why not indulge in this exquisite nutrient dense protein and enjoy the health benefits that come with it?
